ITINERARY
This is a suggested itinerary. Our experts have all travelled widely in the region and will be happy to tailor any of our itineraries to suit your tastes, or build a trip from scratch.
DAY 1: LULEA

DAY 1: LULEA
Arrive into Lulea airport where you will be met by a local representative. You will be transferred to Brandon Lodge located on an island of the Lulea archipelago overlooking the frozen waters. Settle into your log cabin accommodation which includes two bedrooms, a lounge and a porch, the perfect spot for hopefully your first sighting of the northern lights. Tonight, a two-course dinner is included, introducing you to the hearty flavours of Lapland.
DAY 2: LULEA

DAY 2: LULEA
Following breakfast, head off on a hovercraft tour exploring Lulea's frozen archipelago, exclusively available at Brandon Lodge. As you traverse the heavy ice layer of Borthnian Bay, take in the white, vast landscape, hopefully with sea eagles and seals in sight. Depending on the weather, you will reach remote islands and the pack ice fields. Return to the lodge for an included lunch before taking to a snowmobile. This afternoon sees you snaking through Lulea's snow-covered forests in search of frozen lakes and wildlife. Stop for a warming drink with your guide within the Arctic wilderness. Tonight, another delicious two-course dinner is served in the lodge.
DAY 3: LULEA

DAY 3: LULEA
Try another classic Arctic activity this morning, dog sledding. Meet your trusty pack at the Husky kennel. Your guide will instruct you on how to mush the huskies, in preparation for a sled ride into the frozen forest. There will be time for a break with a hot drink and a wilderness lunch next to an open fire. Say goodbye to your husky team in order to meet your snowshoe guide. Taking a slower pace through the forest will allow you more time to take in this incredible wilderness and increase your chances of spotting wildlife. Your guide will also teach you how to build a fire in these freezing temperatures in order to make a warm cup of brew. The hope is that you will be accompanied by the Aurora Borealis as you warm up by the fire. Return to the lodge for dinner for your final night in Lulea.
DAY 4: LULEA - HARADS

DAY 4: LULEA - HARADS
You will be met at the lodge by a private driver and taken to Harads, home to the uniquely designed Treehotel consisting of seven tree houses offering contemporary and quirky architecture such as UFOs, bird nests and mirror cubes. Tonight will be a truly romantic and unforgettable experience as you eat a delicious three course meal on a frozen lake surrounded by dozens of candles and, hopefully, under the glow of the Northern Lights. Take a snowmobile to the heated tepee and settle into the cosy reindeer skins as you are served a selection of Arctic delicacies.
DAY 5: HARADS - KIRUNA

DAY 5: HARADS - KIRUNA
Following breakfast, you will be taken on a private transfer to Boden train station. You will be assisted onto the train heading towards Kiruna, the gateway to the world-famous Icehotel. Set 200km above the Arctic Circle, the hotel is reconstructed every year using ice blocks from the Torne River. Explore the pieces of art created from ice which make up the hotel walls. Sample a five-course tasting menu in the restaurant, served on ice. Tonight will be spent in a cold Art Suite, a truly unique experience.
DAY 6: HARADS - ABISKO

DAY 6: HARADS - ABISKO
After spending a surprisingly cosy night in the Art Suite, warm up with a trip to the sauna and a fresh cup of lingonberry juice before breakfast. Your driver will meet you and transfer you to Bjorkliden, close to Abisko National Park on the borderlands with Norway. The area is known for its fantastic Aurora Borealis viewing opportunities. Following a two-course dinner, you will be taken to Aurora Sky Station to enjoy a guided tour of the Northern Lights exhibition and look-out tower.
DAY 7: ABISKO NATIONAL PARK

DAY 8: ABISKO NATIONAL PARK - LYNGEN, NORWAY

DAY 8: ABISKO NATIONAL PARK - LYNGEN, NORWAY
You will be met at the lodge by your private driver and vehicle. Travel further into the wilds of Lapland, eventually reaching the Norwegian border. Once in Norway, you will head even further north, to the beautiful fjords of Lyngen. The total drive time today is approximately five hours but there will be plenty of opportunity to stretch your legs and take photos of the incredibly beautiful scenery, often without a person in sight. Enjoy dinner tonight before relaxing in Lyngen Experience Lodge's outdoor hot tub overlooking the ocean and mountains.
DAY 9: LYNGEN

DAY 9: LYNGEN
The northern location of Lyngen allows for good whale watching opportunities (Nov - Jan). Following breakfast, you will board a boat from a nearby port and head out on a whale safari in the Lyngen fjords. With the help of the experienced captain, you should be able to find where these beautiful creatures were last seen. If you are not able to see any whales, or you are travelling outside of whale season, just taking in the phenomenal scenery via high speed boat is enough to bring lasting memories. Dinner is included tonight once more at the lodge.

SUGGESTED ACCOMMODATION
Icehotel
Staying at the world famous and iconic Icehotel in Swedish Lapland is truly a memorable experience. Icehotel is a hotel and an art exhibition with ever-changing art made out of ice and snow. The hotel is created in a new guise every winter, completely made out of natural ice from Torne River, one of Sweden’s national rivers and last untouched waters. The hotel is located in the small village of Jukkasjärvi with only 1000 inhabitants, 200 km north of the Arctic Circle, and backs onto the river Torne. Both warm, and of course, cold rooms are on offer. The warm rooms are well-equipped with bright, modern and fresh furnishings typically Scandinavian in style with en-suite bathrooms. The ice rooms vary in design from simple, plain rooms to dramatic, artistic displays. Sleep on ice beds within a thermal sleeping bag, you will be quite cosy but if in the morning you feel a little chilled, you can warm up in the sauna. Washing facilities are located close to the ice rooms. Icehotel offers a variety of winter activities, two restaurants giving a choice of high-end gastronomy or more rustic fare, and the Absolute Bar. r.
Brändön Lodge
Set on an island overlooking the frozen waters and scattered islands of the Luleå archipelago, Brändön Lodge is an adventure camp offering a choice of 15 newly renovated cabins. A short drive of about 35 minutes to the north of Luleå takes you through farming land and forest to the coast overlooking the islands of the Luleå archipelago and the Bay of Bothnia. This area is traditionally a farming, fishing and forest community with strong historical and cultural ties to the islands of the archipelago. Each cabin comes equipped with a bathroom, two twin-bed rooms, a lounge area and a front facing covered porch. The camp’s main building includes a restaurant and relaxing lounge, and guests are provided winter clothing to make the most of the spectacular landscapes that surround it. In the summer there is a small cosy sand beach where you can enjoy the sun and a small boat harbour from where you can start exploring the archipelago. Activities include tours of the pack ice by hovercraft and spectacular snowmobile safaris across the metre-thick ice of the frozen archipelago.
Tree Hotel
Consisting of seven tree houses offering a contemporary, quirky feel whilst still being eco-friendly this is a fantastic option for families and couples looking for something different in Lapland. Each house is individually designed: the Mirror Cube, the Blue Cone and Cabin views are stunning and are better suited to couples, whilst the UFO and Bird's Nest would work well for families as they can accommodate up to four people. The 7th Room is their final masterpiece and works for everyone. Tying everything together is the lovely Britta's Pensionat guesthouse where the owners Kent and Britta Lindvall reside and are more than happy to help with any request be it for husky sledding or snowshoeing.
Clarion Hotel The Edge
Located on the city’s waterfront in the heart of Tromsø. All 290 rooms come with private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, and satellite TV, whilst the relaxed ambience of the restaurant offers an ideal sport to enjoy a selection of local and organically produced food. Located just over six kilometres from the airport and strongly focused on taking an eco-friendly approach to tourism, the hotel can also boast Tromsø’s only sky-bar and a gym and sauna area that includes a steam room and cold plunge pool.
Björkliden Lodge
Commanding incredible views over frozen lakes and the U-shaped Lapporten Mountain, Bjorkliden is a fantastic ski lodge located in the Abikso National Park high in the north of Sweden. Björkliden was founded during the early 20th century, primarily due to a need for lodging for the engineers working with a monumental piece of Swedish history: Malmbanan (the Iron Ore Railway). Over the years, several lifts have been added, cabins have been changed, the golf course has been developed and Björkliden has been discovered by an ever-increasing number of enthusiastic patrons from around the world. The accommodation options in Björkliden are many and varied. They have standard lodge rooms, cabins and even a mountain guesthouse (only reachable by snowmobile). Skiing is the main activity and beginners through to experts are welcome. There is a plethora of other activities on offer, all of which can be organised at the lodge. Snowmobiles, ski touring and Northern Lights safaris - you will not be bored!
Lyngen Experience Lodge
Lyngen Experience Lodge is situated in Ulsfjord and is surrounded by pristine landscapes, allowing for superb Northern Lights viewing. Only a two-hour drive from Tromsø, the lodge ensures easy access to the Arctic wilderness, perfect for an array of winter activities. The lodge itself has nine, en suite guest rooms, all overlooking the fjord. There are also apartment rooms available featuring one, two or three bedrooms, again, all overlooking the fjord. The communal areas are practical for the winter environment, with a sauna, cosy socialising area and boot room. Aside from the usual winter sports and Northern Lights activities, the lodge offers sea safaris, where it is possible to spot whales and eagles. The best way to end a day here is in the outdoor hot tub, searching for the Aurora Borealis and sharing stories of the days winter highlights.
