Day 1: Upon arrival we will have a brief wander around Old Delhi taking in the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.
Day 2: We take a spectacular mountain flight over the Himalayas and have a casual day to acclimatise in Leh.
Day 3: We’ll have the whole day to take in some of the amazing monasteries in the area including Tikse, Moatho & Shey.
Day 4: The Nubra Valley, once closed to foreigners is now open and we drive the world’s highest road at 5,600m to access some of the finest scenery in Ladakh.
Day 5: Today we will walk through stunning countryside and experience the local culture, scenery and wildlife.
Day 6: We return to Leh where there'll be free time to explore this town at leisure.* On certain departures we spend an extra day in Leh to visit the Hemis Festival. Please note the day varies each year, so please refer to each specific tour dossier for more det
Day 7: We take the High Road to Kashmir stopping at Alchi and Lamayuru Monastery then over a 4,000m pass.
Day 8: Travel through the spectacular Zanskar Valley and camp amidst Buddhist villages and monasteries.
Day 9: There are several scenic walks available today, which all have us interacting with the locals.
Day 10: A scenic drive to Kargil and if we arrive in time we can have a wander around this Islamic town.
Day 11: On the incredible drive back to Srinagar we stop for lunch at the stunningly beautiful Sonamarg.
Day 12: We are on our houseboat for 3 nights and have ample time to explore all the sights, especially the Moghul Gardens.
Day 13: Today we have more time to enjoy the idyllic setting of Srinagar.
Day 14: Optional visit to the floating market before flying to Delhi for a final wander and a farewell dinner.
Day 15: The tour ends after breakfast at the hotel.
