This journey takes you across a variety of regions and terrain whilst staying in a mixture of accommodation styles for a well-rounded introduction to Botswana nature and wildlife highlights. Accommodation includes an elegant houseboat on the Chobe River and a lodge located in the quiet western section of Chobe National Park before making your way down to the fringes of the Linyanti Swamps. A final hurrah in the world-famous Moremi Game Reserve concludes this itinerary of superb big game viewing and perfectly chosen accommodation.
The first few days aboard a traditional houseboat is a chance to relax and ease yourself in to your adventure after the long flight down to Kasane. Combining the traditional feel of a houseboat with modern luxuries and touches, this is a great way to spend a few days. Heading out to the western section of Chobe allows you to escape the crowds you may have seen from the boat and enjoy an altogether more private experience in this elephant homeland.
Combining the Linyanti and Moremi areas to finish off the trip will assure you of some fantastic big game viewing, particularly the predators for which the area is renowned. You may even be lucky enough to glimpse some of Botswana’s tiny, but growing rhino population in the Moremi Game Reserve.
