Perched on the banks of the Chobe River, offering stunning views out across the permanent water to Namibia in the distance, Chobe Safari Lodge is a fantastic option for visitors looking to maximise the adventure opportunities in Chobe and the surrounding area, without paying the costs of the private lodges found within the reserve. Although it is a large lodge, with 76 rooms, they are spread across the grounds meaning it never feels too busy here. The rooms are split between Luxury Safari and Luxury River rooms, as well as having 8 Safari Rondavels. All rooms are spacious and although they have a modern feel to them, they also small twists to remind guests that they are in the bush. All rooms are en-suite with well-appointed bathrooms stocked with modern amenities. The open sided main area of the lodge house the bar and dining area, where buffet meals are served. The swimming pool is a great spot to relax during the afternoons and leads down to the pontoon from which river cruises are launched. The lodge is great for activities, with game drives and boat cruises into Chobe on offer, as well as day trips to the nearby Victoria Falls. Activities are shared with guests from Chobe Bush Lodge which is located over the road and guests can migrate between the two to enjoy different dining experiences.
