Hike the Phobjikha Valley
Wonderfully rich in fauna, the Phobjikha Valley has long been held sacred by the Bhutanese. Considered one of the most beautiful spots in Bhutan, the valley lies on the edge of the Black Mountain National Park and makes for a beautifully scenic hike.
Marvel at black-necked cranes
Every October, one of the most beautiful spots in Bhutan, the Phobjikha Valley plays host to the Black-necked Cranes flying in from Tibet to escape winter. They circle the Gangtey Monastery three times before landing amongst the protected marshlands.
