We are heading through Hustai National Park to catch site of the Takhi horses; the wild horses of Mongolia. The views we have seen on this trip are simply stunning; from the wide open rolling hills, grasslands and lush valleys to the drier steppe land, rocky hills, and sand dunes. Our ger camp last night was by the dunes so the group went for a ride on camels along the ridge. There was also the possibility for horse riding; for those whose could manage both! Luckily we got back from our activities early as last night there was the most amazing storm; with sand blowing across the camp, fork and sheet lightning followed by heavy rain. It looked amazing. The clouds are still hovering in the distance and looking ominous but the sun is shining so I think we will be lucky.
