Milan was born in a small town near the Bjelasica Mountain range, where he fell in love with nature and mountains. After successfully completing his Law studies, he decided to return to Montenegro and find himself a job in outdoor tourism. Soon after, Milan began guiding hikes and leading a variety of groups, including nature lovers, through the northern mountain routes of Montenegro, via trade and military coastal paths. He also led groups over border crossings, to Kosovo and Albania. Milan has a lot of experience in educating travellers on the culture and history of Montenegro.

Specialist: Montenegro

Q: How did you fall into tour leading?

A: I’ve always loved outdoor activities, and at one point I just made the decision to give up on the career path of journalism and city life, so that I could pursue a career in tourism. Since then, I have realised that tour leading perfectly fits my lifestyle.

Q: What do you like most about tour leading?

A: Meeting people from all over the world who all share the same passion for nature and adventures.

Q: Where is your favourite part of the world?

A: Other than Montenegro, the Andes and Nepal would be my favourite parts of the world.

Q: What was your biggest travel highlight?

A: Walking in the Judean desert.

Q: What’s the one thing you couldn’t travel without?

A: I couldn't travel without my hiking shoes.

Q: Which famous person would you most like to travel with?

A: It would be fun to travel with Sam Lee (one of the Freeride champions)!

Q: Have you ever made a cultural faux pas?

A: If I have made a cultural faux pas, I have not noticed!
