Lulu

Having studied engineering at university Lulu very nearly ended up in the Army, but instead headed to London to the big wide world of advertising. This meant she had to spend her valuable holiday allowance wisely and this was either on the ocean, under the ocean or on the back of a horse, and that’s how she came across Wild Frontiers.

Lulu has previously been one of our Operations Managers for our Group Tour department, looking after many of our tours to Ethiopia and the Caucasus, to name just a few, as well as heading up our Wild Horses division. Lulu now tour leads for Wild Frontiers.

Interview

Q: Favourite city:

A: Buenos Aires. There’s something about it - it makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up – which has got to say something, as I'm not a city girl!

Q: Favourite country:

A: Uganda, it simply ticked every box for me; it’s going to be a tough one to beat.

Q: Favourite meal:

A: Eating noodle soup with a Mongolian family, who welcomed me into their ger with open arms, before taking me outside to help milk their cows.

Q: Most memorable journey:

A: Sailing from Thailand to the Seychelles – a month I will never forget.

Q: Favourite travel advice:

A: It’s better on a horse, you don’t have to spend your whole time looking at your feet and instead you can appreciate where you are.

Q: Next on must-see list:

A: Joining the Chagras of Ecuador for the big ride to round up the fighting bulls before heading across to the Galapagos Islands.
