A modern luxury lodge set in more than 3,000 acres of cloud forest in northern Ecuador just 2 ½ hours from Quito, Mashpi Lodge is an intimate base from which to explore the biodiversity of this region. The Ecuadorian Chocó is known for being a super-rich area in biodiversity and this gorgeous lodge is an oasis of comfort after having a good hike in the forest. With entire walls made of glass the forest is ever present, as is the comfort and high levels of service. The 22 rooms are spacious with connecting rooms available for families. There are large public areas, a dining room, massage room and a Jacuzzi with panoramic windows looking out to the tranquil environment. This is a birdwatcher’s paradise with the opportunity to take forest walks and visit local communities.

El Monte Sustainable Lodge, Mindo
Located in the heart of the lush Mindo Cloud Forest, the quaint El Monte Sustainable Lodge offers a riverside haven for nature lovers on the banks of the Mindo River.
