As a well-known and highly respected leader within the travel industry, Clare has held several executive board positions and managed multiple travel brands for over 20 years.

Clare even won the prestigious IBM “Leader of Change - Women in Travel” award after leading a transformative strategic shift at Olympic Holidays, cementing the company as a specialist within the travel sphere.

Aside from her award-winning work with Olympic, her contributions to travel also include innovative start-up projects such as Biblio Travel, consulting at Audley Travel, leading Hayes & Jarvis and working as chair at Seable, a unique tour operator catering for visually impaired travellers.

Q: Favourite city?

A:  Cape Town for the variety of landscapes, the sunshine and the people. It’s enough to heighten your spirits time after time!!

Q: Favourite country?

A: Thailand - the warmth of the people mixed with unrivalled islands and delicious food makes it heavenly for me!

Q: Favourite meal?

A: Pad Thai of course! Delicious.

Q: Most memorable journey?

A: Travelling and living in Cuba in 1993. I journeyed with rationed gas, DC10s and old American 1950s cars. This memorable journey started on my own, covering Havana through Trinidad, Cayo Largo and Cien Fuegos with just a few pesos and dollars in my pocket! And not forgetting my trusty Spanish phrase book! I was not alone for long as I soon discovered an amazing country and its people.
