Built to fit in with the rugged and dramatic surroundings of the Al Hajar Mountains, Alila Jabal Akhdar is an eco-friendly hotel with stunning views over the gorge and sumptuous grounds filled with local flora. Using a mixture of traditional and contemporary Omani building techniques, the hotel offers 86 stylish and comfortable suites with en suite bathrooms with rain showers, satellite TVs and Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy the views with a meal in the onsite ‘Juniper Restaurant’ which serves a wide range of local and international dishes, or simply enjoy the tranquillity with a dip in the outdoor and indoor pools. The resort also boasts its own spa facilities with separate male and female treatment rooms & steam room and jacuzzi ensuring that guests really unwind during their stay. The hotel is wonderfully isolated, located 26km away from Jabal Akhdar town so activities are limited to what the hotel can offer but there are great options for walking, cycling, climbing and abseiling.
