DAY 1: TROMSO - LYNGEN ALPS

DAY 1: TROMSO - LYNGEN ALPS

Arrive in Tromsø airport where you will be met and transferred to Lyngen Experience Lodge, around a two-hour drive away. There will be a break for a 25-minute ferry journey en route. Enjoy dinner tonight before relaxing in Lyngen Experience Lodge's outdoor hot tub, overlooking the ocean and mountains, hopefully with the Northern Lights dancing above.

DAY 2: LYNGEN ALPS

DAY 2: LYNGEN ALPS

Meet your trusty pack at the husky kennel this morning. Your guide will instruct you on how to mush the huskies in preparation for a sled ride into majestic landscapes, with only the sounds of paws in snow breaking the silence. Take in the coastal location of the Lyngen Alps at its most magical, in winter. Retire once more to the confines of Lyngen Experience Lodge for another delicious dinner.

DAY 3: LYNGEN ALPS - TROMSO

DAY 3: LYNGEN ALPS - TROMSO

You will depart for Tromsø this morning. Upon arrival, check into Clarion The Edge. Following a free afternoon, you will be transferred back to the catamaran for an evening sailing in search of the Northern Lights. Enjoy warm coffee as you lie on the net of the spacious catamaran or take photos of the spectacle with the help of your guide. For an additional cost you can stay on the catamaran overnight.

DAY 4: TROMSO - FJELLKYSTEN

DAY 4: TROMSO - FJELLKYSTEN

You will be driven south from Tromsø to Fjellkysten Guesthouse, taking approximately three-hours. Soak up this oceanside location from your Ocean View Room. This afternoon and evening you are free to relax or take part in an optional activity such as another Northern Lights hunt.

DAY 5: FJELLKESTEN - SVOLAVAER

Continue to the charming and picturesque fishing community of Svinøya, located in the centre of Svolvær harbour sandwiched between the Arctic Ocean and the impressive peaks of the Lofoten Mountains. Staying in authentically designed rorbu cabins (unique to the Lofoten Islands), you'll be based in the oldest part of Svolvær for the duration of your stay. After settling in, enjoy a tour of the surrounding fishing community. Then head to the hotel restaurant, one of the Lofoten's most renowned, for a three-course dinner.

DAY 6: SVOLVAER

Today provides the opportunity to explore the Lofoten Island's famous coastline on a RIB boat safari. You will visit the magical Trollfjord, surrounded by mountains rising 1000m directly from the ocean. Sea eagles are often spotted gliding or hunting around here. The experienced guides offer plenty of good stories and local knowledge as you take in the incredible landscape. You then have another free afternoon before heading out on a Northern Lights photography focused tour. Watching this incredible wonder of nature is magical enough but being able to capture it and take home is even better.

DAY 7: SVOLVAER - HENNINGSVAER - SVOLVAER

DAY 7: SVOLVAER - HENNINGSVAER - SVOLVAER

Head out of Svolvær today and south to the islands of Henningsvær, famous for its postcard worthy fishermen's huts overlooking the mountains and sea. The town is spread over several islands and contains quaint art galleries, a fish factory, glass blowing displays and picturesque beaches. Only a 40-minute drive from Svolvær, you will visit other sites of interest on the way there. Return to Svolvær for dinner and your final Northern Lights tour, increasing your chance of seeing the Aurora borealis.
