This morning you will be transferred to Lulea train station for the train to Gallivare. You will be met and taken to Sapmi Nature Camp, a sustainable and small-scale camp close to the border of Laponia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The camp is operated by Lennart Pittja who grew up in a reindeer herding family here in the Unna Tjerusj Sami community, who have been grazing on the land for thousands of years. Only 2-10 guests can stay here at a time, creating a personal experience that does not threaten the reindeer and the herding. Meet Lennart's family and their reindeer herd to discuss and observe traditional Sami life. Dinner each evening comes from the camp’s surround and are most often foraged, hunted or fished by Lennart himself.
