Honduras Tours & Holidays

Often overlooked, Honduras is an intriguing blend of Spanish heritage, Maya culture and indigenous traditions. Teeming with jungle wildlife, Mayan ruins and pristine island beaches, it is one of the largest and most diverse countries in Central America.

Encircled by Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua and the Caribbean Sea, the country endured years of political and social strife before its recent drive to open the country up to tourism. Today it can boast miles of dazzling coastline, rich dense cloud forests and the stunning archipelago of the Cayos Cochinos.

The scattered pearls of its beautiful Bay Islands are regarded as one of the world’s top dive spots, its warm, clear waters alive with rich corals and a dazzling array of marine life. The Pico Bonito National Park on the other hand is considered a paradise for bird watchers, as well as being home to several unique animal species including ocelots, kinkajous and peccaries.

Largely unexplored, this natural haven is abundant in waterfalls, lagoons and river straits that are perfect for rafting. Elsewhere, the Mesoamerican ruins of Copan offer up some of the finest Maya remains left anywhere in the Americas, whilst the colonial splendour of Gracias presents visitors with one of the oldest colonial settlements in the region.
