DAY 1: ARRIVE BUENOS AIRES

DAY 1: ARRIVE BUENOS AIRES

Upon arrival to Buenos Aires, your private guide and driver will be waiting to meet and greet you before taking you to your boutique hotel in the Palermo Soho area of the city they call 'The Paris of South America'. Rest up after your long arrival flight enjoying the hotel’s facilities and nearby amenities.

DAY 2: BUENOS AIRES

DAY 2: BUENOS AIRES

Discover the capital from the unique aspect of a cyclist on a private bike tour today. Begin pedalling south through the backstreets of one of the oldest barrios in Buenos Aires towards La Boca port where you will have a tour of its urban art, beloved football stadium and the birthplace of Tango. Parking the bikes, there will also be free time to discover this vibrant area that once greeted millions of immigrants. Jumping back on the bikes, you’ll continue to work up an appetite whilst searching for Puerto Madero’s 60-acre Ecological Reserve. For lunch there will be a stop along the boardwalk to sample a typical Argentinian grill. Then continue cruising along the docks and the Retiro district to the upmarket Recoleta neighbourhood where a stop at the famous cemetery provides the chance to learn more about Eva Peron at her resting place. The final leg of the journey sees you touring the country’s most important and historic sites in the Plaza de Mayo such as the Casa Rosada and the cathedral. Head back to the hotel after this energetic, full-day tour.

A full free day to explore the city at your own leisure. A visit to one of the weekly markets is highly recommended and other tours can also be arranged, for instance and laidback art or food tour, a fun tango lesson or another full-day tour to the Argentine Pampas.

DAY 4: BUENOS AIRES - EL CALAFATE

DAY 4: BUENOS AIRES - EL CALAFATE

This morning your driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight to the Patagonian town of El Calafate where, upon arrival, you will be met and taken to the exclusive Eolo Lodge, 45 minutes away. You have the rest of the day at leisure to superb services at the lodge.

DAY 5: EL CALAFATE

DAY 5: EL CALAFATE

Rather than the standard shared tours, today you will be picked up for a private excursion to visit the iconic Perito Moreno Glacier. Your local guide will take you to the best spots from which to experience the imposing block of ice, standing over 20 stories high, and hopefully witness the ice calving. Also included in today’s activities is the must-do boat trip to the glacier’s south wall to appreciate its grandeur from the water. Throughout the day your guide will provide explanations and interesting facts about the history of the surrounding area and the mysticism of the glacier.

DAY 6: EL CALAFATE - EL CHALTEN

Your private transfer to El Chalten this morning takes approximately 3.5 hours. On arrival, settle into your very own glamping dome at Chalten Camp, located within the Los Glaciares National Park. The rest of the day is free to either enjoy the gorgeous surroundings from the camp or via one of the properties complimentary activities.

DAY 7: EL CHALTEN

Your guide will pick you up again for a private-guided trek in Los Huemules. The private reserve of around 5,500 hectares includes mountains, ancient glaciers, lakes, lagoons, rivers and extensive forests of ñire and lenga trees. With less than 5% devoted to real estate, it is a Patagonia paradise perfect for hiking! You will be driven to the visitor centre in the park for check-in before heading up to Laguna Diablo on a beautiful full day trek. Gain height through a forest of lenga and ñire rounded by amazing emerald lagoons. At the end of the trail the views of Cagliero glacier are awesome, providing the perfect place for a picnic lunch stop. Return to the visitor centre to meet your vehicle which will take you back to your accommodation.

A day at leisure to relax or enjoy more outdoor activities, either with the camp or as a private tour arranged by us.

DAY 9: EL CHALTEN - CORDOBA

DAY 9: EL CHALTEN - CORDOBA

Transfer back to the airport in El Calafate for the flight to Córdoba, the country’s ‘cultural capital’. On arrival, you will then be driven approximately 40 minutes to Estancia Los Potreros, a 6,000-acre working cattle ranch set in a beautiful reserve at the top of the Córdoba hills. Since its beginnings in 1574, the family-owned ranch has since developed into a paradise for horsemen and nature lovers alike.

DAY 10: CORDOBA

A wealth of activities are available from Los Potreros allowing you to experience guacho (Argentine cowboy) culture. Saddle up and trot through hidden valleys and rolling hills or try a game of barrel racing or polo. You can also accompany the gauchos as they perform their daily tasks for a deeper look into traditional country life. Days at the estancia can also be spent walking through the reserve in search of local birdlife including the Andean Condor and Black Vultures.

DAY 11: CORDOBA

Another day at leisure to stroll around the grounds or enjoy more of the ranch’s invigorating activities. For a more relaxed experience, you could assist your hosts in preparing a wonderful Argentine meal paired with quality, local wine.

DAY 12: CORDOBA - MENDOZA

DAY 12: CORDOBA - MENDOZA

One of the farm’s drivers will take you back to the airport today for your flight to Mendoza, the country’s premier wine region. Once you arrive and meet your guide, it is then a two-hour transfer to your accommodation in the Uco Valley. Casa de Uco is on a lush green vineyard estate in the Uco Valley desert with other wineries and the Andean foothills close by.

DAY 13: MENDOZA

Described as a ‘wine resort’, you can spend the next few days making the most of the hotel’s luxurious spa, sampling wines from its cellar, riding a bike through the vineyards or horse-riding into the Andean foothills (these activities aren’t included but can be arranged by the hotel).

DAY 14: MENDOZA

The Uco Valley is a wonderful wine growing region which is often blessed with bright, blue skies overlooking the endless vineyards, framed by the mighty Andes mountains. The picturesque scenery prepares the senses for the distinctive flavours and aromas of the Uco Valley’s wines. Begin at one of the country's biggest wineries, Salentein, to see its art gallery and taste some wines. Next, visit the Bousquet family who hail from the southern French city of Carcassonne who were attracted by the high-altitude soils of Mendoza after a long history of winemaking. The last winery is Andeluna, a smaller, boutique winery where you will witness their special, tried and tested methods of winemaking. Surrounded by an impressive landscape at the foot of the Tupungato Volcano, the winery also offers an exquisite gourmet lunch to enjoy with their prestigious wines.

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport today for your flight back to the capital and the connecting international flight back home, where your tour ends.
